“Ohana means family”
General Qualifier Info.
of the Ohana Throwdown 2020
Athletes who want to take part have to be capable of completing the workouts and meet the requirements of section A of the Rulebook. The terms and conditions and the data protection chart need to be accepted and the registration fee needs to be payed.
All buddy teams will complete the same series of qualifier workouts together. Once you sign up as a buddy team this is final. There can only be changes to your team after you sign up with explicit permission from the OTO.
The top 8 buddy teams of each categorie will qualify for the finals. If it is possible (measures COVID-19) the category on Saturday and Sunday with the most registered athletes for the qualifiers gets the top 16 to participate in the finals, but we can not guarantee that (we have to wait until March of this year whether it is possible to go to 16 teams participating).
Workouts have to be done with a judge
The Judge will be responsible for upholding standards, counting reps and keeping track of time limits. The scorecard has to be validated and signed by the judge and has to be sent to OTO-officials in case the organizer asks for it. It is not necessary for the Judge to be CrossFit certified. It is not mandatory to perform the workout at a CrossFit Affiliate.
Filming your workout is mandatory
The organizer has the right to ask for your video for whatever reason he wishes without needing to explain this reason. Once requested, the buddy team has 48 HOURS TO SUBMIT THE VIDEO to the organizer. If you cannot provide a video, your score will be disqualified.
Wildcards can be given to some buddy teams
Getting a Wildcard means that a buddy team does not have to go through the qualification, they will get an invitation to the finals without qualifying.
